Born into the Eagle Clan in Haida Gwaii, James Hart 71DANsu has dedicated his life to the preservation and evolution of Haida art and culture. Apprenticing under the renowned Bill Reid, he developed exceptional skill across carving, sculpture, and jewellery-making. Rooted in Haida traditions, reflecting themes of spirituality, cultural identity, and the natural world, his creations blend ancestral knowledge with contemporary expression, carrying forward stories that connect generations.
