Vancouver-based sculptor Marie Khouri creates powerful works that explore identity, belonging, and community. Drawing on a life shaped by migration—from Egypt to Lebanon, through Europe, and finally to Canada—her art reflects a deep personal journey and an enduring commitment to unity. Educated at the prestigious L’Ecole du Louvre in Paris and fluent in multiple languages, Marie uses the power of form and language to communicate across cultures and forge new emotional landscapes through her sculptural practice.
Blending traditional techniques with innovative materials and modernist influences, Marie has created more than 25 public sculptures across Canada and internationally. Her large-scale works also appear in private collections around the world. Known for her collaborative approach, she works closely with developers, architects, and community leaders to design site-specific pieces that resonate with place and purpose.
